Don’t make any lunch plans for Thursday, unless it includes munching on pizza slices for less than 25 fils each!
Food delivery service Deliveroo has come up with an amazing campaign which will see 1,000 pizzas practically given away on Thursday between 11am and 2pm.
Working on a first-come first-served basis, the first 1,000 people to order online will get a Dhs1 pizza (and no delivery costs) from the following outlets:
This takeaway place has loads of pizzas to choose from and offers three types of dough: regular, whole-wheat or gluten free. The margherita con buffalo is a razor-thin and crispy pie, topped with creamy buffalo mozzarella and bright red tomato sauce made from delicious marzano tomatoes and spread to just the right consistency. It's a decent pizza, and for a takeaway joint leaves us pleasantly surprised. We'd perhaps add a touch of spice or some seasoning to truly perfect it, but that's just us being picky.

The most enticing thing about NKD Pizza is not the alarmingly quick delivery time, but the fact that fresh ingredients are organic and locally grown, meaning you can tone down the guilt a little when you order from here. The healthy sounding ‘superbiotic' is crammed with toppings of artichoke, spinach, bell peppers, mushrooms, garlic, red onion and coriander. And it tastes exceptionally nutritious. Adding to the wholesome, yet satisfying qualities of this pizza is the floury, fluffy base of the ‘original' pizza, which is more like tucking in to freshly baked artisanal bread than the average flatbread crust.
This home-grown but Italian owned pizza company prides itself on native credentials, including a specialist oven, hand-built and flown in from the old country. As such, while some of Rosso Vivo's pizzas are unique and creative, the spirit is true to its roots. Fans of the woody and earthy flavours of mushroom and truffle will barely be able to contain themselves at the whole-hearted barrage of flavour on the porcini pizza, where an umami-flooded base of cream of porcini and mozzarella plays bass note to squiggy, buttery and delicious chunks of porcini mushroom, with a little truffle oil aroma as the final flourish. Oh, and the base is pretty excellent too.
