Fans of artsy-industrial café Tom&Serg will be happy to hear that in a matter of days they’ll be able to grab an evening bite there on weekdays. And not just any bite!
Starting on January 15, the perpetually busy Al Quoz eatery will be staying open until late seven days of the week as opposed to just at weekends and hosting the newest concept by restauranteurs Tom Arnel and Sergio Lopez – Shaka King.
Despite its African sounding name, the pop-up will be dishing up one of the hottest food trends in town- healthy Hawaiian food.
So what kind of yummy guilt-free food can we look forward to?
Plenty of poke bowls (which in case you were wondering are traditional Hawaiian fresh fish salads) with ingredients ranfing from seaweed and scallion to salmon, tofu and ahi tuna.
There will also be wholesome designer burgers with organic grass fed beef as well as lentil and chickpea, slick subs with marinated prawns and wasabi slaw and salmon fries. You get the drift.
So if your January is all about detoxing, strap on a grass skirt and start counting down the days until Dubai’s newest healthy Hawaiian food pop-up is launched. January 15 at 6pm people!
