Uncle Jheff’s Thai vibes back at Brunswick

Unmissable month-long Thai street food fest at Mall of the Emirates

After going down as something of a cult hero at Sole DXB in November, Thai chef Uncle Jheff is coming back to town for a month-long stint at Brunswick at the Mall of the Emirates.

Uncle Jheff is a 68-year old Thai man who doesn’t sit in the limelight all too often. By day he cleans dishes at his local restaurant in Thailand, but every now and then he’ll come to the fore and bring his culinary expertise to Dubai.

When he does, it’s pretty mega, and he whipped up a storm at Sole DXB last year. This time round he’s bringing his kitchen to the Brunswick courtyard for a month, kicking off on Friday April 14.

Expect tasty, tangy and lively Thai street food favourites coupled with Dubai’s hottest new DJs providing the soundtrack. The most notable dish on Uncle Jheff’s menu, and a mega crowd-pleaser at Sole DXB, is the sweet garlic short ribs, infused with kaffir, chilli and charred lime. Also look out for the green mango salad topped with apple, pineapple and a sticky tamarind chilli dressing.
