Dubai's got three exciting new restaurants

Here's where you need to nab a table this week

There’s always something new to try in Dubai – and if you fancy eating at a brand-new spot this week, you’re in for a treat.

Up in DIFC, quirky British public house Jekyll and Hyde is opening its doors at Al Fattan Currency House. Offering up classic UK pub grub, Jekyll and Hyde is banking its reputation on homely, good, honest everyday value. Bottomless ladies’ night deals including unlimited free drinks when dining; a Dhs99 rolling roast at weekends and a British brunch for Dhs350 promising a real taste of the UK.

And of course, no lads’ night out could be complete without a craft and curry night at a good-value Dhs99. Also expect a dozen widescreen TVs showing the latest UK sport, to match.

7 Elephants, meanwhile, is the newest hot spot hitting Emirates Financial Towers. The smart, indoor-outdoor haunt is priding itself on being a reflection of Dubai’s multicultural society, by laying on menu items from all seven continents of the world with food inspired from Italy, Mexico, Spain, Indonesia, India, Britain and the Middle East (perhaps not ALL seven continents, but it’s close enough for our liking).

It also plays with a stock market-esque pricing model, where the cost of drinks fluctuates based on demand – which sounds like fun but might quickly turn into a headache if you don’t pay attention! Expect a massive bar, a comfy lounge feel and views of the Burj Khalifa.

Finally, French-American fusion lounge bar Moe’s on the 5th is also now open, located – funnily enough – on the fifth floor of Sheikh Zayed Road’s Sheraton Grand Hotel. This is a musical joint priding itself on the musical connection between Paris and New York City, playing on the historical sounds the two cities share – like jazz, soul and funk from days gone by.

If you fancy pushing the boat out a little, you can find caviar, oysters and truffles, as well as a cheese and charcuterie board, with an extensive grape menu to boot.
