There’s a brilliant reason to mix up your routine this week – The St. Regis Dubai, Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Spa is now open, and it’s brought three intriguing new restaurants with it.
Up first, The Grill Pit is an Argentinian, asado-inspired steakhouse promising impressive, well, grills. On the menu, you’ll find US Prime beef rib on the bone and beef T-bone, as well as Atlantic lobster and roasted baby goat (available as a whole goat, serving six to eight diners, if you’re particularly hungry). Alternatively, try Chilean sea bass with vegetable ragout, braised Argentinian Angus beef cheeks or quinoa risotto with seasonal vegetables and smoke Manchego cheese. Hungry yet?
Next up, Taperia. Designed around a central open kitchen, where tapas and flatbreads are prepared before your eyes, this outdoor terrace hopes to help guests make the most of cooler summer evenings (does Dubai have those?), aided by lounge flamenco music. Deals throughout the week include two-for-one Spanish hops, and Ceviche Fridays, with a juniper beverage and ceviche platter for just Dhs100. Taperia will close from May 26 and reopen at the end of June.
Finally, there’s Andalucia, host of the hotel’s St. Regis Polo Brunch, with Spanish-influenced cuisine and Argentinian grills. It’s also open for breakfast and lunch.
