Thought Dubai’s perennially popular Irish pub was all fish, chips and fry-ups? This should change your mind.
McGettigan’s JLT has launched brand-new menus for lunch and dinner, starring a range of dishes under 500 calories.
On the lunch menu, options include spicy corn and chicken chilli (210 kcal), sesame peanut beef noodles (340 kcal), smoked salmon and spinach omelette rolls (390 kcal) as well as pad Thai and tofu wholemeal wraps (310 kcal), warm quinoa with grilled chicken, mango, avocado and kale with a citrus dressing (330 kcal), and baked sweet potato with three-bean chilli, rocket and poached egg (320 kcal). Dinner options include the same dishes in larger portions, but all still coming in under 500 calories.
Diners can also choose from a new range of light snacks, such as edamame beans and a trio of homemade hummus – avocado with lemon and coriander, butterbean with beetroot, garlic with sundried tomato – served with warm flatbread.
Meanwhile, celiac diners will be pleased to note new gluten-free options, including beef stir-fry with sticky rice and papaya salad, and oven-baked salmon fillet with a mushroom and spinach risotto.
There’s also good news for those who don't care for calorie-counting, as old favourites including Irish stew, and beef and black stuff pie are back on the menu.
