You may already know that Truckers Summer Warehouse, the festival run by Truckers DXB, is coming to down this summer. But we didn’t expect it to be this big.
The headline info you need to know is that the event will be a two-month indoor food truck festival – but it’s so much more than that. While Dubai undoubtedly loves food served from a truck, and an exhibition of that alone would probably be enough for most people, there will be gaming nights, ladies’ nights, cooking classes, live music and art.
Truckers Summer Warehouse will run every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from Thursday July 6 through until Saturday September 2.
On Wednesdays, free-to-play games will flood the exhibition, focusing on old school, console, coop and brand-new gaming experiences. There’ll be the most recent releases, classic table top games. Tonnes of gaming goodies will be up for grabs in the finale at the end of the season, as well as gaming art being up for purchase. Stay tuned for more info on that one, gamers.
On Thursdays, ladies can end the week in style with a free-to-enter night and two-for-one house beverages all night long.
On Saturdays you can be a food truck chef for a day, learning practical skills, discovering new recipes and creating fresh dishes from the trucks on show at the event. There will be one-hour-long classes giving tips to take home with you long after the show is over. Kids can get involved in the afternoon sessions for Dhs85, and an adults-only class will kick off at 8pm for Dhs150 per person – call 04 385 5781 to book your place!
Saturdays will also see a wide range of local artists coming from across the emirates to showcase brand-new, original art from the region. Get down to Truckers Summer Warehouse this summer to make the most of this season-long foodie bash.
And if all that isn’t enough for you, there are giant churros stuffed with Oreo whipped cream on sale.
