Summer is a time of year for spoiling yourself with some the tastiest new additions Dubai has to offer. In the midst of summer, cool down and fill up with new bites at these three restaurants.
The Black Lion’s authentic street food
London’s street food comes from all sorts of countries, which is what makes The Black Lion’s new menu so intriguing. Situated in The H Dubai on Sheikh Zayed Road, The Black Lion has conjured up new chicken dishes paired with cheese fondue, as well as lamb bunny chow from South Africa, served with plum chutney. Explore American classics like Carolina fried chicken and waffles with a maple mustard syrup and a kale and cranberry slaw – or grab a London-style takeaway carton filled with sirloin steak and French fries bathed in peppercorn gravy sauce. For dessert, try a classic Peruvian doughnut, or a Belgian chocolate waffle kebab.
Daily 8am-3am. The H Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road (04 359 2366).
Vogue Café’s fruity twist
Head to Dubai Mall to experience some healthy bites from Vogue, which has launched a new range of dishes for the health-conscious shopper. Try the interesting-sounding avocado hummus, the mango, prawn and avocado salad, or the chef’s special Chilean sea bass with a bisque sauce. Finish it all off with desserts including tangy orange crêpe or a chocolate mandarin tart.
Sun-Wed 10am-10pm, Thu-Sat 10am-midnight. The Dubai Mall, Downtown Dubai (04 501 6810).
At.mosphere’s tall new menu
Located on the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa, At.mosphere restaurant has launched a new menu it hopes will be as iconic as the building it’s housed within. Try a variety of fish including an organic salmon mi-cuit, hand-dived scallops or baby squid. Also on the new menu you’ll find beef tenderloin with watercress and red grape vinegar, plus lamb with spiced aubergine. Dessert fan? Try the smoked chocolate fondant, or a malt crémeux paired with rhubarb or truffle honey to finish the night off.
Daily 6pm-11.30pm. Burj Khalifa, Downtown Dubai (04 888 3828).
