Pizza lovers and carnivores, stand by, DIFC is soon to have two more restaurants you’re going to love.
Beefbar and Le Specialità will both be opening up in October in Al Fattan Currency House (currently home to the likes of Dusty’s, Sass Café and Jekyll & Hyde) in the space that was formerly chef Greg Malouf’s Cle (which closed last April).
The former (calling all carnivores) is the sixth outlet for the chain, which also has homes as far flung as Hong Kong, Mexico and Monaco (where it all started out). Beefbar was set up by Riccardo Giraudi, thanks to (surprise!) his love of meat. It’s billed as “unpretentious food” for “discerning carnivores”.
Dishes on the Monaco menu focus, as expected, on meat, namely beef. There’s a raw bar with beef tartare and Black Angus carpaccio, Kobe burgers, Argentinian steaks and Dutch veal.
Le Specialità, meanwhile, is a pizza lover’s dream. It’s the second branch of the chain, with its sister being in Italy. This Milanese original was founded in 1977 and boasts more than 50 varieties of pizza (hello, carby cheesy goodness). We’re hoping for a similar menu here in Dubai, with dishes on the Milan list including lobster paccheri, gnocchi with clams and courgette, beef fillet and more.
Watch this space, we’ll keep you posted.
