At Media One Hotel in Media City, the keyboard-tastic Qwerty has just launched a range of new summer promotions to see you through the rest of the summer months, and beyond. From brunch, to roast, to classic two-for-one happy hour, here’s why you need to head to Media City.
Qwerty’s take on brunch. Like the name, it’s a little bit shorter and all it’s missing is you – get it? Every Friday you can head down for a two-hour brunch for Dhs199 from 1pm-3pm, plus a bolt-on hour of unlimited house beverages for another Dhs99, and a two-for-one happy hour from 4pm-7pm. Expect Qwerty’s cracking British pub grub, plus an ingenious secret WhatsApp group running throughout the afternoon, with quiz-like questions and more prizes up for grabs. That’s got to be worth satisfying your curiosity for.
Dhs 199. Fri 1pm-3pm. Ongoing. Media One Hotel, Dubai Media City (04 427 1000).
Ok, this is something that has made many a British expat choke on their tea when moving to Dubai – the traditional Saturday roast. Regardless, let’s just think of it as a last-day-of-the-weekend roast, and Qwerty claims a perfectly cooked roast with all the trimmings. Take your choice of chicken, beef or lamb, and pair it with an extended happy hour from 1pm-7pm to make the weekend last that little bit longer.
Dhs95. Sat 1pm-7pm. Ongoing.
One of the city’s early adopters of gents’ nights, and as far as we’re concerned a welcome chance to even things up for the lads to get a couple of free drinks every so often. It calls itself the smoothest men’s night in town, and you can grab a couple of free drinks from 6pm until 8pm, plus the chance to win spot prizes.
Free. Mon 6pm-8pm. Ongoing.
Qwerty is not only a dream to type out, but also offers three complimentary drinks between 7pm and close at the She3 ladies’ night every Tuesday. Dubai resident DJ Tim Cheddar will be on the decks, and there are a whole bunch of cool prizes to be won too.
Free. Tue 7pm-1am. Ongoing.
For media types lushing around Media City at lunch time (let’s pretend Time Out HQ isn’t literally around the corner from Qwerty), there’s a very reasonably priced business lunch offer, with a grazer and main course item coming it at only Dhs75 per person. Chuck on another Dhs10 if you’re after something sweet from the ominously-titled Dessert Island.
From Dhs79. Sun-Thu noon-3pm. Ongoing.
Last but not least, it’s a good old fashioned happy hour. Let’s face it, having a decent happy hour is pretty much par for the course in this city, and Qwerty’s is as good as you can hope for. Two-for-one on a huge range of beverages after work from 5pm until 7pm between Sunday and Thursday.
Sun-Thu 5pm-7pm. Ongoing.
