Rhodes W1 restaurant has a new menu

Gary Rhodes’ Grosvenor House Dubai restaurant focuses on British classics with a twist

1/4

Gary Rhodes is one of the most famous names when it comes to dining in Dubai. And fans of the celebrity chef will be pleased to hear that the popular Rhodes W1 at Grosvenor House, at Dubai Marina, has had a menu revamp.

Gary Rhodes’ first Dubai restaurant opened in 2007 in Grosvenor House Dubai, followed by Rhodes Twenty10 at Le Royal Méridien in Dubai Marina in 2010.

The new à la carte menu at Rhodes W1 is described by the team as “bursting with flavour”. They also say it “excels in variety” and boasts “substance over novelty”.

It includes British classics with a touch of Anglo-French cuisine, with starters such as beetroot with goat’s cheese (layered beetroot and peppered goat’s cheese cake, avocado cream, marinated kohi rabi and peanut brittle dressing), and a rich red mullet soup made with red peppers and leeks.

Main courses include braised beef served with orange baby carrots and parsley mash; roast loin of lamb with caramelised shallots and a foie gras tartlet and a tasty pan-fried cod accompanied by creamy champ potatoes with lobster, tarragon and pistachio butter.

There will also be a range of dishes from the grill, as well as desserts including poached peach melba with vanilla and pistachio ice cream.

Open daily 7pm-11.30pm. Rhodes W1, Grosvenor House Dubai, Dubai Marina (04 317 6000).
