Matcha green tea treats on the menu at Aubaine

French restaurant Aubaine continues the matcha green tea trend

The matcha trend (that’s green tea if you never caught on) continues, at Aubaine.

The French restaurant and café set in The Dubai Mall and at City Walk, has just introduced a selection of matcha delights to its breakfast menu.

Made from exotic Japanese green tea leaves and packed with antioxidants and vitamins, matcha green tea has fast-become the perfect superfood pick-me-up to the health-conscious.

It has numerous health benefits, including strengthening the immune system, detoxifying the body and boosting memory and concentration, so it is perhaps the perfect ingredient to start your day with. It’s also said to help burn calories, so fill up.

The new matcha breakfast items at Aubaine include a stack of green matcha pancakes topped with banana and berries. Pair this up with the new detoxifying matcha green tea or the pretty matcha latte, which have been introduced to the menu, too. You can even get your latte iced, if you prefer.

There’s also matcha macaroons to try. (Yes, that’s not breakfast, but who’s really counting.)

Prices vary. Open daily 10am-midnight. The Dubai Mall, Downtown Dubai (04 501 6970); Open daily 10am-11pm. City Walk, Al Safa Street (04 510 8391).
