International Coffee Day is upon us, and that means outlets across the city are preparing lots of lovely offers to get lots of lovely coffee.
Ahead of the big day itself, on Sunday October 1, we’ve rounded up some of the places where you can get a free cup of coffee in Dubai throughout the week.
Arrows and Sparrows
OK, it’s not to celebrate International Coffee Day itself, but its timing is too coincidental to not include this. On Wednesday October 4, you can get your hands on a free coffee and homemade cookie between 8am and 10pm, in celebration of Arrows and Sparrows’ first birthday, so don’t forget to sing them a tune to mark the occasion (not compulsory).
Wed Oct 4 8am-10pm. Building 4, Emaar Business Park, The Greens (04 558 8141).
McDonald’s Dubai is giving away free coffee – and no this is not a drill. Global fast food chain McDonald’s is marking the occasion with seven days of early morning coffee giveaways, starting on Saturday September 30. Just walk in to any McDonald’s store from 6am until 10am, and pick up a cup of freshly roasted coffee, made from 100 percent Arabica beans, for absolutely nothing. Until Friday October 6, you can get your hands on tonnes of free coffees, which extends across its range of drinks, and includes Americanos, cappuccinos, espressos, lattes and mochas.
Free. Sat Sep 30 to Fri Oct 6 6am-10am. Various locations across Dubai, www.mcdonalds.com
Head to this Italian gelato and coffee house for a buy one get one free promotion on International Coffee Day itself on Sunday October 1. All outlets will be running the promotion all day, and you can keep coming back for more until the coffee shakes take over. Get your hands on two for one with these brilliant looking beverages:
- Morelli’s signature cappuccino
- Caramello – cappuccino with caramel dulche de leche gelato
- Crema – cappuccino with gelato, flavoured with vanilla or hazelnut
- Nutella latte – need we say any more?
Sun Oct 1 10am-midnight. Various locations including Jumeirah Beach, Mall of the Emirates and The Dubai Mall (04 339 9053).
And this gem – although it’s not free, coffee enthusiasts might want to consider this event on Saturday September 30.
