Four new brunches to try in Dubai this weekend

Sink your teeth into these new brunch offerings around the city

After a holiday but no time off? Try this Daycation brunch at Kalea.

The Polynesian restaurant’s Friday feast is back for the winter and stars an extensive buffet, packed full of international dishes.

"Where does the vacation part come in?" We hear you cry. Well, that’s thanks to the full day pool access to two outdoor pools and the lazy river, while your kids chill out (or run around) at the Luna & Nova Kids’ and Teens’ Club.

Dhs195 (soft drinks), Dhs295 (house beverages), Dhs95 (kids aged four-12). Fri 1pm-5pm. Lapita, Dubai Dubai Parks & Resorts (04 810 9421).

La Cala
The beach club has relaunched its brunch for the winter. The laid-back venue is located just 20 minutes from Dubai and is designed as an ideal “city escape”.

The brunch is low-key yet classy, so expect a menu of Mediterranean and Asian influenced bites such as crispy squid with chilli mayo, baked brie and spicy peanuts, or a classic Caesar salad.

There are also sourdough pizzas topped with Asian crispy duck or a classic smoked mozzarella and tomatoes. After something meatier? There’s a barbecue station for that with steaks, chicken and more

After dining get ready for music from resident DJs to dance to as the sun goes down.

Dhs199 (house beverages), Dhs499 (sparkling). Fri noon-9pm (three-hour package). Ghantoot Marina (050 151 8407).

The Daily
The famous Bench Brunch at The Daily, has launched a brand-new even more bargainous menu.

For just Dhs59 a person you can dig into a full open buffet chocka-block with cold cuts, sandwiches, tarts and fresh fruits.

And that’s not all, you’ll also get a choice from an à la carte menu of freshly-prepared breakfast dishes, all washed down with tea or coffee.

Dhs59. Fri 11am-3.30pm. Rove City Centre, Rove Healthcare City and Rove Trade Centre,

The Observatory
Fancy brunch with a view? There’s a brand-new offering at The Observatory Bar & Grill.

With views across the Palm Jumeirah on one side and Marina to the other, this location is perfectly situated for the aptly-named Sky High Brunch.

Set on the 52nd floor of the Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites, the new Friday brunch offers up sharing plates served to the table, set to tunes from the resident DJ.

Dishes include pasta, grilled meat and fresh seafood, salads and breads, which will be prepared at live stations and brought to your table.

There’s also sushi, oysters, a chocolate fountain (of course) as well as loads more.

Food choices change weekly, so you’ll never get bored at this one.

Dhs300 (soft drinks), Dhs450 (house beverages). Fri 12.30pm-3.30pm. Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites, Dubai Marina (04 319 4000).
