Halloween is fast-approaching (Tuesday October 31) so it’s time to get planning what spook-tactular food you’ll be eating (hint it’ll probably include free chocolate waffles).
Cocoa waffles at Eggspectation
If you’re after treating (rather than tricking) your family this Halloween, head to Eggspectation. Dine at either branch (The Beach or City Walk) between Sunday October 29 and Tuesday October 31 and you’ll get a complimentary cocoa waffle. It comes topped with a dollop of creamy orange mascarpone cheese and a salted caramel drizzle. And the best news? It’s absolutely free.
Free on dining in. Oct 29-31. The Beach, opposite JBR (04 430 7252); City Walk, Al Safa Street (04 240 6877).
Gingerbread cookies from Freedom pizza
Having a pizza party? Round your meal off with a gingerbread cookie from Freedom Pizza. These limited-edition “Ghostly Gingerbreads” are available from Sunday October 22 until Saturday November 4, costing Dhs15.
Franken-tastic Burger at Burger & Lobster
There’s a spooky menu on offer at Burger & Lobster with a range of cleverly decorated burgers. Opt for the Devil Burger (the signature patty), or the Pumpkin Burger, which is topped with fresh cheddar cheese, veal bacon and Burger & Lobster’s secret burger sauce. Both are Dhs89. Finally there’s The Hannibal Lobster Roll at Dhs105. Basically ingredient-wise it’s the same as usual, but top marks for creepy presentation and styling.
From Dhs89. Burj Daman, DIFC (04 514 8838).
Halloween cakes at Clinton St. Baking Company
If you’re throwing a Halloween party but aren’t much of a baker, Clinton St. Baking Company is here to help. The US chain is cooking up a whole host of Halloween-themed treats including a Spider’s Web Pumpkin Pie (Dhs180), mini spooky cupcakes (Dhs8) and a specially decorated Halloween cake that serves up to ten people (Dhs195). All the baked treats are available from Tuesday October 24 until Tuesday October 31, for dine-in or takeaway.
