Earlier this year, Dubai’s Atlantis the Palm launched a brand-new event – a one-off megabrunch that promised a huge, unique dining experience. Now, the event is back for its second dose of party brunch fun, with a festive special edition arriving in the build-up to Christmas on Thursday December 7.
Back in May, Cirque de Cuisine joined together a number of the world-class restaurants found across the resort, including Nobu, Seafire, Ossiano, Bread Street Kitchen, Ronda Locatelli and Yuan.
The build-up to the original event caused much confusion as Time Out received an almost overwhelming level of inquiries from readers requesting clarification on the format of the brunch, but six months on, there’s a renewed sense of confidence in what could well be one of the most spectacular nights out of the holiday season.
Cirque de Cuisine: The Festive Edition is back on Thursday December 7 from 7pm until 11pm, and each restaurant will be ready for an influx of Dubaians looking to get their fill of festive brunch action.
Around the resort you’ll find winter wonderland-inspired attractions and decorations. Christmas trees, snow-topped lamp posts, fairy lights and life-sized nut crackers will line The Avenues, which will lead to a huge snow globe, within which you can take an awesome Christmas selfie. There will also be a Christmas Grotto at The Lost Chambers Aquarium, while Bread Street Kitchen will be transforming into a Christmas market with snow, picnic tables and festive games.
After the brunch package ends, the bars at Nobu, Yuan, Bread Street Kitchen and Seafire will all be open until the early morning, with DJs pumping out Christmas classics until 3am.
Commendably, the team behind this December’s event have been quick to address some of the issues guests experienced at the original event.
For starters, they have said that while the event is effectively a wandering brunch, where you dine while roaming between restaurants (which was the premise of the first edition) – restaurants are all within a two-minute walk and, most significantly will have “tables and seating in abundance”, while all restaurants will only be “open for Cirque de Cuisine ticketholders”.
There are also promises of even more signature dishes at each restaurant, many of which will be serving Christmas-themed specials.
This time, Atlantis is promising a greater selection of food from its outlets, and if that’s the case, we can see this being one of the biggest events of the season that you won’t want to miss out on.
