Lock, Stock & Barrel JBR now serving food

Try the food-truck style offerings, plus a brand-new brunch

There’s good news for peckish Lock, Stock & Barrel visitors, the new JBR venue is now serving food.

There’s a full menu on offer from today (Wednesday November 22), and this Friday (November 24) the venue is hosting its first-ever brunch.

The Barsha Heights original is a favourite among pub-going food-lovers, and for good reason – this year it won Best Bar Food at Time Out Dubai's Restaurant Awards.

The JBR version has a slightly different menu (although all your faves are there) – with the upper level housing a casual dining area, boasting plenty of food truck-style options, including pizzas, tacos, hummus, dim sum and British eats.

The team behind the venue are promising “finger-licking comfort food” and dishes include curries (such as butter chicken at Dhs65), shawarmas (beef or chicken at Dhs49), chicken karaage (Dhs39), pulled chicken tacos (Dhs45), beef yakatori (Dhs59) and burgers (from Dhs89).

There’s also the famous metre-long flatbreads, plus weekend roasts. And for those with a sweet tooth there’s an in-house Mr Whippy station, with daily specials from just Dhs19.

If you haven’t already visited, now’s the perfect excuse. The JBR version is more than twice the size of the original (at around 22,000 sq ft) and set over two floors, so if you’re dining head upstairs to peruse the stations. There’s a huge bar area downstairs, complete with pool tables, plus a separate, light and bright bar at the back, overlooking the Rixos pool. There’s also plenty of live music with Gorgeous George and 13 Daze regulars at the bar. There are also daily happy hours from 6pm to 8pm, and a Tuesday night ladies’ night with three free drinks for women between 6pm and 1am.

We’ll see you by the wood-fired pizza oven.

Open daily 4pm-3am. Friday brunch 1pm-4pm. Rixos Premium Dubai, The Walk, JBR, www.lsbdubai.com/jbr.
