Three new places to eat at in Dubai this week

JA Bateau Dubai
If you’re after dinner with a difference in 2018, it’s time to try out JA Bateaux Dubai. The long-standing dinner cruise has undergone a revamp, and now has a brand-new menu, as well as a new boarding site.

The boat now sets off from Al Seef, and cruises up the Creek – offering up views of Dubai’s historic trading routes, the historical Bastakiya district and Sheikh Saad’s House – the birthplace of Sheikh Rashid.

With both and indoor and outdoor seating area, views are equally great in each area. Packages are Dhs415 for soft drinks and Dhs520 for house beverages, and include a four-course meal with dishes including beef tenderloin and avocado and prawns.

The popular Kite Beach food truck SALT now has a permanent home at La Mer, in addition to its much-loved original.

SALT Surf House will be serving up all of your fave burgers, with a few new menu additions too, including the Black Melt, made up of wagyu beef, barbecue-sriracha sauce, crispy cheese melt served in a black bun, and the Big Salter with double Wagyu beef, biggie sauce, lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheese, served in a black double bun.
La Mer, Jumeirah,

Black Tap
The long-awaited second Dubai branch of New York burger joint Black Tap is now open, at the Rixos Premium Dubai, JBR.

For burgers, freakshakes and more, you can’t get much better than a trip here. The first Dubai outpost of the Stateside burger eatery opened at Jumeirah Al Naseem earlier this year and was a massive hit, and we’re expecting to hear similarly great things about this newest location.
