In a city packed to the hilt with Asian eateries, we are still always clamouring for more noodles.
The folk at wagamama sensed our need and have answered our call with a brand-new flagship restaurant set to open in The Dubai Mall.
The restaurant will open in the Star Atrium, on Wednesday January 31, and will bring the total number of locations across the UAE to five, with two more planned later this year.
Diners will be able to get stuck into signature wagamama dishes including chilli squid tossed with seven-spice shichimi, the ever-popular chicken katsu curry and our favourite wagamama ramen, as well as a wide variety of rice and noodle dishes, fresh salads, shareable sides and a special kids’ menu.
There’s also a load of fresh healthy juices prepared to order, like the super green with apple, mint, celery and lime, and raw juice with carrot, cucumber, tomato, orange and apple.
wagamama was founded in London’s Bloomsbury district in 1992 with the intention of creating a place for positive eating where the food satisfies the senses
It embraces a “kaizen” philosophy meaning “good change”, constantly striving to create and make things better. So far so good, wagas.
The new offering will be the first wagamama restaurant in the UAE to feature the same interior design as London’s flagship branch in Covent Garden with a modern interior featuring sleek mirrors and communal tables.
It will have enough space for 156 guests and will span over 4,000 square feet with an outdoor terrace.
Elias Madbak, Director of Operations at RMAL Hospitality, franchise partner for the brand in the UAE said, “The launch of our fifth wagamama at the iconic The Dubai Mall, will allow the discerning UAE public along with visiting tourists a chance to enjoy food served quick, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.”
Mandeep Sandhu, Group Marketing Manager of RMAL Hospitality, franchise partner for the brand in the UAE added, “Being a fun brand, wagamama is bound to attract the experience seekers and Asian food lovers and we are determined to make sure we serve them the wagamama way – which is no way actually, but celebrating individuality, self-expression and freedom of choice.”
We can wait to get awash with ramen.
