Twenty-five years ago Dubai was a very different place - there was no Burj Khalifa, no Burj Al Arab and Friday brunch was a meal you ate at some point in the mid-morning involving eggs.
But there was a place where you could go for a slap-up seafood meal, and that place remains open to this very day.
The Seafood Market will celebrate its 25-year anniversary this month, in what is a spectacular achievement in a rapidly evolving gastronomic landscape like Dubai.
Seafood Market pioneered the seafood dining scenario way back in 1993, with a never seen before market style concept in Dubai, serving the freshest seafood, prepared skillfully by Chef Nim Fat Kwai and his expert team.
Apart from serving fresh catches of the day, the talented chefs also dish out the freshest vegetables, tropical fruits and shellfish.
The 18 seawater tanks house the likes of king, snow and mud crabs and lobsters from Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Oman, while the outdoor terrace is the perfect place to smoke up some fresh fish.
This month, Seafood Market celebrates its 25 years of success, with those who matter the most (that’s you).
Diners old and new are invited to join in the cocktail reception followed by dinner where they can avail of a 25 percent discount on food on January 25th.
Antonio Mansfield, Director Food and Beverage, Le Meridien Dubai, said, “Be it a wedding anniversary, a birthday or a professional milestone, the silver twenty-five year mark is definitely special.
“Our entire team is delighted to be part of this historic anniversary celebration, as many of them have been here since the opening. We’re grateful to all our guests and wish them many more happy memories with us at Seafood Market.”
Open daily 12.30pm-4.45pm, 7.30pm-11.15pm. Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Center، Airport Rd, Garhoud (04 702 2490).
