Think you can handle your spice? Well now is your chance to prove yourself.

Quirky Asian street food kitchen, Miss Tess, is launching Go Wok Yourself Mondays today, whereby hungry (or foolish) diners can take on The Spicy Noodles Challenge.

Here's what you can expect:

The somewhat distressing experience sees diners presented with what Miss Tess is claiming to be “the spiciest noodles in the UAE” – a huge bowl of fiery noodles absolutely teeming with hot chillies.

All you have to do is finish the entire spice-laced vat within 20 minutes and you’ll get the noodles, and everyone on you table’s noodles, absolutely free, as well as 20 percent off at Miss Tess for a year and your face in the hall of fame.

But there are rules – some of which seem slightly unfair, others nigh-on impossible.

For though you will be presented with a glass of milk, a glass of ice and a glass of water, to touch them during the challenge would mean automatic disqualification (and subsequent shame).

You are also banned from wiping your face at any point during the challenge, and trust us – it will be filthy.

Grounds for disqualification also involve vomiting, belching, grunting and groaning. You are, however, allowed to cry. That’s kind of them.

Participants can also expect interference as they eat from Super Mario and pals, who will helpfully waft your (gradually reddening) face and dance around you as you sweat.

If you fancy something slightly more edible – and with less rules – you can help yourself to your very own personalised wok and choose between fried, hokkien, yaki soba and glass noodles along with a variety of protein, sauce, spice levels and add ons.

A sushi cart with a selection of signature maki rolls prepared by the Ninja Sushi Chef will also be doing the rounds every 20 minutes.

So what do you think? Can you take the heat?

Participants are also required to sign a legal disclaimer prior to taking part in the competition.
