One thing we’ve always wanted on our apartment wall is a great big painting of a camel – don’t ask us why.

We suspect we’re not alone, which is why the hugely popular Design & Dine creative art group is hosting a dedicated night brunch on the waterways of the Madinat Jumeirah this month. The aim is to help budding artists create a masterpiece in a fun environment, with help from expert artists and instructors.

So, we’re super excited by the arrival of a special one-off evening brunch where, for one-night only on Thursday February 22, the organisers say you’ll be able to “learn how to create your own stunning ‘Desert Camels’ canvas painting as you enjoy a variety of delicious food”, as well as free-flowing drinks.

It will be hosted at the McGettigan’s Souk Madinat Jumeirah and your entry fee of Dhs310 per person for group bookings or Dhs350 for individuals gets you a two-and-a-half hour brunch package and instructions so good that even the most uncoordinated, unimaginative among us can create a masterpiece. “You’ll be amazed at the amazing artwork we’ll guide you to produce, and how much fun you’ll have doing it,” the organisers say.

So if you’ve ever had an artistic yearn, head along to this night of food, drink and art.
