Asia de Cuba: inside the new Dubai restaurant

It's in the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina

Asia de Cuba is now open in Dubai, and we’ve been for a sneaky look inside.

The world famous Chino-Latino eatery opened last week in the place of China Grill in the Westin Mina Seyahi and, as these pictures show, both the food and the setting look phenomenal.

The restaurant already has successful branches in Abu Dhabi, New York and London. Asia de Cuba at The St. Regis Corniche in Abu Dhabi is hugely popular, so much so that it was crowned Bar of the Year 2017 and Best Lounge Bar 2017 by Time Out Abu Dhabi.

The trendy new bar and restaurant promises a “carnival-like atmosphere”, so expect a party vibe while you’re getting stuck into the sushi platters and slabs of smoky meat.

Consisting of five main sections – ceviche, sushi, small plates, entrées and Cuban barbecue – the menu also features an extensive selection of desserts and hand-crafted mixed drinks that are built on classic formulas, and draw inspiration from Asia and Cuba.

Tolga Lacin, general manager of The Westin Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina, said: “It was about time for a little shake-up, so when China Grill Management presented us with the opportunity to take on Asia de Cuba, we couldn’t miss it. Asia de Cuba is the perfect addition to our already impressive F&B family.

“Our incredible team have mastered the art of creating the perfect dining spaces and Asia de Cuba will be no different – with furnishings and décor sought from far and wide to suit the restaurant’s theme, we know we’re bringing another interior décor masterpiece to the city.”
