If you're preparing to welcome a plane-load of visitors before the start of summer, here's a great way to show them the real taste of Dubai.
The restaurant Seven Sands has launched an Emirati food experience that aims to show off authentic flavours to guests in the country.
The Marhaba as-Sa’ promotion will see diners given a captivating cultural talk before they are served "exquisite" local cuisine.
It's all hosted by culture connoisseurs who promise to provide a personal insight into their life in the UAE.
Although Dubai is full of food options from across the globe (as we here at Time Out are more than happy to recommend) this is a great way to get back to the city's roots.
It costs Dhs250 per person and runs every Friday from 11.30am at the restaurant at The Beach opposite JBR.
Expect everything from moutabal (that's grilled eggplant purée with garlic tahini sauce) to chicken fouga, which is cooked in a spicy stock.
For dessert, it could be anything from aseeda bobar (a pumpkin puree) to a sticky date pudding.
Naturally, it's all washed down with a cup of chai or Arabic coffee.
This is one taste experience you don't want to miss.
