British brunch is launched at Dubai's The Lion by Nick & Scott

The new venue from the top chefs will serve up traditional British grub

Looking for a new brunch to try out? You’re in luck, because The Lion by Nick & Scott is introducing not one but two British brunches.

Taking place every Thursday evening and Friday afternoon, the recently rebranded pub is offering a wealth of British grub for Dhs300 for a three-hour package.

The menu is set to change on a weekly basis to keep brunch-goers on their toes, offering a selection of UK favourites such as fish and chips with crushed peas and tartare sauce.

Other signature dishes include beef pudding with mash and gravy, curry coconut chicken with cardamom rice and naan bread, along with many different desserts such as sticky toffee pudding.

The package includes a platter of starters to share, with your own choice of a main and a dessert.

Not ready to leave? You don’t have to – because for an extra Dhs100, folk can stay an hour longer.

To top it all off, tunes from the ’70s will fill the room every Friday with Richard Simon Kennedy’s three-hour set.

He’s performed at venues such as Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and The Boileroom, bringing the best of British music – old and new.

Once an American bar before becoming a British East End-style pub, The Black Lion at The H Dubai was rebranded as The Lion by Nick & Scott earlier this year.

With folly by Nick & Scott winning Best European 2018 at the Time Out Dubai Restaurant Awards, we’re expecting great things from this revamped gastropub.

Dhs300 (three-hour package), Dhs100 (extra hour of drinks). Thu brunch: 7pm-1am. Fri brunch: 2pm-9pm. The H Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road (04 359 2366).
