Izu Bakery opens at The Dubai Mall

Try pastries, salads and more from the famous chef Izu Ani

Fans of the delicious baked goods whipped up by top chef Izu Ani are in for a treat, as he’s opened up a new bakery in The Dubai Mall.

The chef, who is famed from his time at some of the city’s top restaurants including La Serre and multiple Time Out Dubai award-winner La Petite Maison, also has an eatery in City Walk – Izu Bakery and Brasserie.

But now he’s ventured into Downtown Dubai, with an outlet in the gourmet section of Galeries Lafayette in The Dubai Mall.

Izu Bakery boasts a range of fresh pastries and breakfast dishes, including chia pudding with fresh berries, French toast with berry compote and caramel cream and eggs in any way you like. If you’re looking for lunch there’s a range of salads, including his signature beetroot version, as well as the popular Izu burger.

It’s the second opening for the well-known chef this year. In April carine opened at Emirates Golf Club, named after chef Izu’s wife.

The restaurant, which sits in the space that previously houses Le Classique, has a fresh, modern look and an expansive terrace.

The restaurant serves up a variety of Mediterranean dishes, such as tuna tartare, lobster linguine and plenty of freshly baked bread.

So if you’re after tasty and healthy bite from a top chef, get both of these newcomers on your list.
