We all know the post-shopping slump. You’ve trailed around for what feels like years and now all you want is a coffee and a cake. Well you’re in luck, as a brand-new Tim Hortons is now open at Mall of the Emirates.

The world-famous coffee chain threw open its doors in the Al Barsha shopping centre today (Tuesday June 12).

The brand was established by Canadian hockey player Tim Horton in 1964 and there are now more than 4,600 outlets worldwide. It’s hugely popular in Canada, and has made a firm name for itself here in Dubai, too.

The new Mall of the Emirates branch is one of 126 stores now in the region, and there will be special drinks exclusive to it.

Drinks include Belgium hot chocolate as well as a range of lattes including salted caramel, matcha, chai or golden latte. And as it’s now summer, there will be some special new chilled drinks on the menu, too. Choose from mango tropical chiller, Mexican limeade or passion fruit lemonade.

All the classics that you know and love are on the menu, too, from espresso to frozen Iced Capp drinks, as well as the signature Tim Hortons Timbits – bite-sized doughnuts that come in a range of flavours.

“Tim Hortons is motivated to bring even more convenience and serve even more customers in the GCC,” says chairman, Nilesh Ved - Chairman of Apparel Group.

“This new store is an exciting next step for us and a way to achieve this ambition. We’re especially delighted about the remarkable location of this new addition; being on the way to and from Mall of the Emirates Metro station.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming our first guests and building a loyal following, allowing shoppers to easily stop by and indulge a memorable moment with us. The exclusive beverage offer will elevate our launch phase and ensure we continue to delight our fans.”

We'll see you for elevenses.
