Celebrate Canada Day with poutine and party

The North American restaurant will be serving specially-made patriotic dishes

On Sunday July 1, don’t be alarmed if you hear a resounding “Oh Canada!” coming from a particular restaurant around Business Bay, as there is a very good reason for it.

Weslodge Saloon will be celebrating Canada Day in style with four nights of patriotic partying and, of course, signature poutine, until Wednesday July 4.

Honouring 151 years of the country’s independence, the venue will be serving a host of Canadian-themed dishes and events, along with complimentary bites and drinks.

On arrival, party-goers will get frozen maple snow-cones on arrival to kick celebrations off.

As for dinner, Weslodge has created a four-course special set menu for two just for the occasion.

The two Can-a-dine (very clever) meals for Dhs151 will feature seabass ceviche, crab cakes, lamb ribs and maple brûlée accompanied by a bottle of house grape.

What, not Canadian enough for you? The restaurant will also have a poutine menu at the bar with three variants – including lobster – all to satisfy your patriotic food cravings.

A host of special prizes are up for grabs throughout the event as well, including the chance to win meals, beverages and much more.

To enter, all you need to do is tag your best “Weslodge moments” with @weslodgedubai on Twitter and Instagram.

Canadian DJ Soph-Eye all the way from Montreal will be delivering some classic tunes by famous icons from the country, so be prepared to sing your heart out.

Sounds like a pretty good four nights, eh? We’ll see you there.

If you’re hankering for more poutine, eggspectation will be giving out free portions of poutine to go along with your meal on Canada Day.
Free entry, Dhs151 (set menu). Sun Jul 1-Wed Jul 4, 5.30pm-2.45pm. JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, Business Bay (04 560 1700).
