Time Out Says
Pier 7’s Latin American restaurant is an enormous and dimly-lit venue that has won us over more for its bar and nightlife credentials than its food offerings.
A zesty ceviche with octopus is a small appetiser and testament to the fact that O’ Cacti does at least have ambitions beyond a mere burrito and nacho joint. From the mains, the chicken breast in a rich, dark poblano chilli sauce has a strong flavour with mild spices giving it an interesting kick. The fajita plate is generous with more beef, pepper, cheese and sauce than a single diner could realistically manage, but it’s worth saving space for the delicious traditional Mexican apple pie.
Despite best efforts on the foodie front, the best way to enjoy this Marina restaurant is with a large group of friends, making the most of the generous drink deals.
