No complaints about the atmosphere or service – the JBR branch is a bustling hive of family fun on a weekend with capable and polite waiters. You should stick to decent versions of Mexican classics such as fajitas and enchiladas rather than sub-par non-Mexican menu choices such as salads, seafood and steaks (the ‘meal of the month’ steak and jumbo prawn combo one of our guests tried on our last visit was shockingly bad). Granted, it’s a Mexican restaurant and Mexican food is what they do best. But shouldn’t the golden rule of any restaurant be if you can’t cook it well, don’t put it on the menu? We think so.
