Time Out Says
It’s a high-end venue for a mall, but befitting for Fashion Avenue, and it’s split into three sections, the dining room, shisha space and a more casual coffee shop-type area. The menu is also split, with breakfast, cakes and pastries and a section where you’ll find mezze, breads, mains and peinirli (anyone familar with Turkish pide will get the idea).
The mezze dishes are a little overpriced for what they are (Dhs37 for tzazkiki and an extra Dhs20 if you want to add one piece of pita? It is good, but a dainty portion).
From the ‘feta bar’ we go for baked cheese, with green peppers and cherry tomatoes (again, Dhs40 for a piece of cheese stuck in an oven for half an hour seems a lot).
There are hits, however, with the beef ragu peinirli, which is oozing with melting cheese, bechamel and a rich meat sauce, being the absolute stand-out.
It’s perfect comfort food.
Presentation is impressive and Opso has a stylish dining room, but with so many Greek restaurants around, it doesn’t really stand out.
WHAT IS IT...
A fancy Greek spot in The Dubai Mall
For the comforting pizza-style peinirli
