Time Out Says
Parker’s started life as pop-up that saw Dubai’s foodies searching all over a park for a key to get access to a food truck. It then set up at The Dubai Mall and has since opened at the bustling beachfront of La Mer.
Food at Parker’s is ordered at the counter and arrives as it’s ready. It has an appealing breakfast menu, as well as belt-busting options such as burgers, pasta and tacos.
We manage to resist the dark French toast (piled high with chocolate and Nutella fudge sauce, crusted chocolate swirls and chocolate flakes) and chocolate chip panckes (complete with all of the above, plus crumbled brownies) and opt for avo toast and an açai bowl.
We settle in and enjoy the friendly, laid-back seaside vibes as we dig into a thick slice of sourdough piled high with creamy avocado, which has a coarse texture and zingy flavour thanks to lime and chilli.
The açai bowl is filling, delicious and we feel immediately healthier (ahem) thanks to the from the nutrient-rich berry blend. A scattering of granola and coconut add crunch while sliced strawberries and blueberries give it freshness. It’s finished with a dollop of mango sorbet and the textures, flavours and temperatures all work perfectly.
For breakfast at the beach, look no further.
