Time Out Says
Sitting directly across from Atlantis The Palm, there are top views of the world-famous resort and the glittering water in front of it.
With palm trees twinkling with fairy lights and the weather cooling, it’s a great spot to sit outside on the spacious terrace and soak up the views, especially by night.
Per Te’s menu is a lengthy list of Italian dishes with all the usual suspects present and correct.
Service is friendly and the staff know the menu inside out.
We opt for the goat’s cheese and mushroom bruschetta and calamari to start.
The portions are large and the bruschetta is super-tasty, piled high with mushrooms and a rich, but not overpowering, truffle paste.
The calamari comes overflowing from a mini fryer-style basket, which is a nice touch, but the styling is better than the taste, as it’s a little bland.
Main courses are equally big, and a massive bowl of steaming linguine comes resplendent with giant mussels, prawns and clams. It’s a hit and we slurp it up with gusto, sauce flying everywhere.
The pizza is decent too, loaded with veggies and chicken and a rich, tangy tomato sauce slathered on a crisp base.
The only downside is it’s pretty pricey for what it is – those views come with a cost.
