Time Out Says
You can order signature bowls, but we recommend building your own. No matter how many times you visit, we reckon you’d have a difficult time exhausting all the combinations. Start with a base of rice and add a protein (we say go for raw fish, but there’s also cooked fish, chicken, egg and tofu) and choose a marinade – the truffle yuzu ponzu has a rich, nutty flavour with a citrusy edge to it – before getting creative with toppings.
Choose anything from typical garden salad veggies to crispy shallots, wasabi toasted coconut, citrus-marinated kale and seaweed salad, and top it all off with a sauce (we’re told the avo-coconut with jalapeño is a bestseller and we can see why, it’s beautifully creamy with only a slight kick to it).
It may seem pricey at first (Dhs60 for a medium), but bowls are filled to bursting with ingredients. You definitely get your money’s worth.
If you fancy something sweet afterwards, there’s açai and peanut butter ice cream, chia puddings and deliciously refreshing, fruity iced teas. A brilliant little spot that’s worth seeking out.
The bottom line
Fresh, fast and varied food for lovers of sushi.
