Time Out Says
It seems that Dubai is quite enamoured with the restaurant meal-meets-a night on the town concept, and Q43 is no exception to this trend. Set on the 43rd floor of the Media One Hotel, you'll find a huge complex of a venue with bars, snooker tables, private booths and a VIP area, along with excellent views of the city. Food is served in a sedate dining room, where you’ll find a menu spanning an international selection of sharing plates, from which the friendly staff are happy to make recommendations. But sadly a lot of the food is rather unappetising. Some dishes, such as the ‘Spandian’ meatballs and the Moroccan tagine, are too aggressively seasoned, though the simpler dishes like the grilled vegetable tortilla standout with the use of fresh ingredients. Q43 may well be a fun after work spot for drinks that happens to serve food, but it is not yet a serious destination for dining.
