Time Out Says
For well over a decade (nearing on a lifetime in this city), this al fresco spot has rustled up a tried and tested recipe for success – a vast waterfront terrace, stunning skyline scenery and pizza.
The outdoor restaurant and bar is at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club – putting it in truly excellent company with Cielo Sky Lounge (Highly Commended Best Bar with a View at our Nightlife Awards this year) and Boardwalk (the current Best Outdoor Restaurant 2018). There’s a mix of sofa-style couches, high drinks tables and restaurant-style seating, and on weekends it’s absolutely heaving.
The food menu is a mix of Arabic mezze, Mediterranean, seafood and grills – with a banana split sundae curiously placed on the mains section. Dishes are generously portioned (there’s even an “XL section”), fairly priced and devoured rapidly to the sounds of the Balearics thanks to a live DJ.
While it’s not going to threaten any world-class eateries anytime soon, it gets a big thumbs up from us. Try a slice of the QD’s special pizza, sip your sundowner and bask in one of the most idyllic spots in town.
