Time Out Says

Raffles is a world-famous brand (and we’re not just talking about the renowned mixed drink) and with such a name you expect a top-class afternoon tea.

And in this pyramid-shaped longstanding hotel in Oud Metha, you can be sure that this afternoon offering is well worth your hard earned.

Raffles Salon is luxurious while being friendly and welcoming, so pull up a sofa and get cosy for your mid-afternoon meal. It’s an ideal spot for families and friends to while away a couple of hours chatting over a cuppa and a fancy sandwich.

Afternoon tea begins with a selection of savoury treats and there are a lot of adventurous flavour combinations on display here, and every single item is fresh and perfectly hits the mark.

The theme here is floral, as it’s in partnership with Forever Rose London, and the flowery theme runs throughout the menu – even one of the two varieties of scone has a rose flavour.

Tea connoisseur? You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to brews, and there are also speciality coffees included if you’re more into that.

A delightful afternoon for everyone, and a tea that’s worth making a date for.
