Reem al Bawadi - Dubai Marina
Popular Arabic hangout with plenty of western options
Time Out Says
Perched on the edge of the tourist-friendly Marina Walk, this branch of the popular Dubai franchise is in a prime spot with great views. Boasting a relaxing outdoor area, with plenty of greenery, low-hanging lights and a traditional vibe, it attracts an eclectic, multi-cultural crowd including locals and visitors alike, even on week nights. The food is mostly traditional Arabic fare, with Morrocan chicken, baba ganoush, hummus and grilled hammour. Western dishes also feature heavily, with Mexican style shrimps, pasta and pizza dishes also available. The food is fairly simple but it’s tasty and the portions are sufficient to feed a small army. Service can be a little slow but when you grab the staff’s attention, they’re friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. If you’re averse to shisha it’s worth noting that the air can be quite smoky but we think it’s a great spot to head if you fancy an Arabic atmosphere and decent food at reasonable prices.
