Revo Cafe

Laid-back café on the Palm

Time Out Says

Unless you live in the area, it’s a bit a trek to get to this spot, nestled in the far fronds of the Palm’s east crescent. But on the plus side. after the voyage up the length of the island you’re likely to have worked up an appetite.

Inside Revo is lovely, with warm woods, cosy patchwork furniture and even a bookshelf to peruse (handy if you’re dining alone).

Floor-to-ceiling windows make for gorgeous views out onto the coastline, though if you sit outside the roar of the traffic will doubtlessly interrupt your tranquillity.

The menu is impressive and there’s a good spread of healthy options and hearty dishes. There’s all of the usual café staples like sandwiches and salads, and we recommend the healthy, vibrant salad with roasted pumpkin, asparagus and avocado. There is also a good selection of smoothies, which are super fresh and generous in size.

Main courses include fish and chips, Angus beef flank and salmon steak, and every day there’s a “pot of the day” for Dhs95, which includes the likes of chicken stew, Hungarian goulash and seafood pie.

Aside from the regular menu, there’s a separate breakfast list with a dedicated eggs section, offering everything from a full English to eggs
Benedict and veal brisket, which paired with sea views are a magnificent way to start the day.

Food is fresh, made from quality ingredients and tastes delicious. An excellent café that’s worth trying if you haven’t already.
