Time Out Says
You can eat at the bar on the comfy sofas or in the restaurant area. We choose to settle on a sofa, overlooking the sea. The menu boasts a range of dishes, from pastas to pizzas and salads, all safe options for a chilled out day. We opt for a portion of chicken satay to kick us off. Tender chicken skewers come with a punchy peanut dip. We can’t get enough. For main courses we go for two opposite ends of the scale. A salmon salad – apparently a bestseller, according to our waiter – is fresh, light and full of flaky salmon. The addition of orange segments and pomegranate is welcome, but overall the flavour is a little bland. We also go for a burger, and we suggest you bring your appetite for this one. Possibly best reserved for after a side of calorie-burning kayaking, this massive meaty offering is as tasty as it is large.
RIVA is also super family-friendly and a special kids menu serves up pizzas, mini burgers and more. So whether you’re after a bite during a chilled beach day with friends, a post stand-up paddleboard brekkie or a family-friendly lunch, this is an ideal Palm spot to try.
