Time Out Says

Decked out in deep purples, golds and reds, Rococo has a regal feel about it. The menu is presented as a two-page backlit book, which helpfully allows guests to read it in the ultra-low lighting. Portions of everything are small, artisanal and heavy on the wallet. But food is prepared well, whets the appetite and will leave you just about satisfied if you opt for three courses. Try the carpaccio di manzo to start, a delicacy comprising wafer-thin beef, white truffle essence, a quail’s egg and 24-month aged parmesan. The capesante d’orate (seared sea scallops) is a delicate and decorative dish that comes with a streak of parsnip truffle. But for something a little more filling, stick to the meat or pasta dishes. Head to this romantic spot amid the busy throng of JBR’s The Walk if you have a guest you’d like to impress.
