Popular shawarma joint on Sheikh Zayed Road

Time Out Says

From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2008

We’re definitely impressed by the chicken sharwarmas on offer, although we could do with a slightly larger portion. Still, in terms of taste, the chicken is perfectly juicy and tender, speckled with spices and herbs and rolled in soft bread from the saj oven.

It’s a shame then that the cheese rukake and folded slices of zaatar bread are merely average, the lamb saj sandwiches are nicely spiced but unexceptional, and the fattoush is fresh and lemony.

It’s not the most thrilling place for an eat-in meal, although there’s pleasant outdoor seating at the Sheikh Zayed Road branch and it’s worth going for the shawarmas alone.
