Time Out Says

Located next door to the cooking school Scafa, this French-themed bistro gives chefs studying at the school an opportunity to showcase their culinary flair. While the interior is fresh, bright and modern, the atmosphere is dull, intensified by the lack of music. Scafé’s menu plays it safe, with a few breakfast options, soups and sandwiches as well as some heartier mains, which tend to lack the type of creativity you’d expect from a culinary school training chefs of the future. That’s not to say that the food isn’t good, though. Try the flavoursome quinoa salad or the nut-crusted salmon. Staff are friendly and attentive, albeit a little bit too keen to promote the range of cookery courses available at the school – a little frustrating if you’re just after a peaceful meal.
