A romantic beachside venue specialising in Asian seafood dishes
Time Out Says
Strolling down to the beach from the beautiful Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach to Sea Fu brings a sense of expectation. The venue, with a very cool bar and lounge area, as well as an indoor dining room and plenty of outside space, is just lovely and has the staff to match. The menu contains mainly seafood dishes and is a great example of a restaurant that can pick a theme and run with it. You’ll find various sashimi, nigari and maki, as well as temaki and more elaborate rolls. Volcano rolls are presented with a flourish, and have the flavours to match. Salmon, cucumber, pickles, radish and a hot sauce all work wonderfully together. Beef tenderloin tataki, served with earthy enoki mushrooms, garlic crisps and ponzu sauce, is another top choice to start. There are some items, such as a Korean pear salad and tuna pizza, that make for interesting detours away from the more usual options. The steamed lobster main course looks amazing and tastes as good. While the portion is a little on the small side, the combination of fried wonton, shiitake and leeks as well as a creamy lobster sauce and coconut foam is stunning. Pan-seared halibut is another hit. The robust, meaty white fish is backed up admirably by Chinese cabbage, leeks, mussels and mint. Sea Fu is a lovely venue that is ideal for date-night or to show off how pretty Dubai is to visitors.
