Time Out Says

Having undergone a renovation last year, Spike’s Bar now offers a more developed and extensive menu, which makes its salubrious setting more engaging. Sitting within the racecourse grandstand, diners are treated to sweeping views of the impressive racetrack.

Always diverse in its choice of food, Spike’s menu is now larger than life, especially considering it’s a bar and not a restaurant. So if you’re in a crowd with mixed likes and dislikes or if you’re not sure what you fancy, Spike’s will be able to appease most tastes. During the day, look out for their lunch buffet between 11.30am-3pm, costing Dhs65 and on Sundays, check out their traditional roast from 7-10pm. City lunchtime options may come in more attractive packages but if you’ve already made the trip to the racetrack Spike’s Bar is decent enough.

Spike’s Bar, Nad Al Sheba Club (04 336 3666). Taxi Nad Al Sheba Club. Open Daily 7am-1am. All major credit cards accepted. Average price of meal for two with glass of house wine Dhs200-300.
