Time Out Says

This quirky restaurant is characterised by its eccentric decor; you’ll find a fish pond that can be traversed by a bridge and fake wooden houses. If this sounds charming, you’ll probably forgive the unconventional service. However, if you find dining amid decor like this tired rather than twee, you’ll most likely see the menu’s attempted East-West fusions (foie gras on a Thai menu?) as misguided rather than mesmerising, and the dated water feature a distraction to your meal. With a menu divided into sections splitting Thai cuisine past, present and future/fusion, stick to the traditional and the food is competent and pleasant, if not awe-inspiring. However it’s the buckets of old Dubai charm – that suspended-in-a-time-warp quality – which keep this Blue Elephant firmly in the room.
