Sushi Counter - Dubai Media City

Time Out Says

We’re impressed. Despite only being a relatively recent arrival on Dubai’s Japanese dining scene, Sushi Counter already has five branches across the city, with more to come. Granted, it’s more of a lunchtime venue, the order-at-the-counter setup hardly suited to a more formal dinner affair, but for a quick, healthy bite to eat if you’re in a hurry, you’ve come to the right place. The picture-heavy menu features mainly sushi and rolls, but you’ll also find ‘tartares’ (essentially fish/seafood patties), chirashi (sashimi on a bed of rice), sushi-style burgers as well as soups and salads. The small-ish portions are great for ordering a selection of dishes and for sharing, with particular highlights being the mooli-wrapped summer rolls and herby quinoa salads. Even the wood-heavy interior is bright and fresh, making for a comfortable environment in which to linger should you find that you’re actually not in such a hurry after all.
