Time Out Says
A firm favourite with DIFC’s number-crunching crowd, Dubai’s first SushiArt outlet doesn’t boast as attractive a beachside location as its younger sibling (now open at The Beach, opposite Jumeirah Beach Residence), but it certainly does a stronger trade on weekday lunchtimes. They’ve also done well to mask what is essentially a food court-style setting, with the French Japanese chain’s trademark minimalism and black decor. Be sure to try the dishes created by celebrated chef Joël Robuchon – because everything else is pretty much the same as what you’ll find on every other sushi menu in town. Adventurous palates may take to Robuchon’s (absolutely creative, but hard to love) crispy lobster roll, which features banana, yuzu mango sauce and soy leaf. It’s fruity and weird and to be tried at least once. His low-carb cut n’roll invention featuring surimi, avocado and carrots wrapped in cucumber is light and refreshing, and will make the day of any sushi lover watching their weight. Quick, creative Japanese eats – ideal if you’re on the clock.
