Sweet Brasilian Cafe

Time Out Says

Hidden away in a hard-to-find corner of JLT, Sweet Brasil is a surprisingly good café that specialises in – if the name hasn’t already given it away – Brazilian food. As the café is situated right on the edge of a lake and has plenty of outdoor seating, it’s a great place to visit in the sunshine. Inside, it’s spacious and cosy, with sofas lining the wall. There are plenty of authentic Brazilian dishes on offer, including numerous freshly baked breads and pastries, and the mixed platter lets you sample a good selection of these. The main courses are mostly sandwiches and pies (although they’re called empadaos here), and the carne seca sandwich is delicious, if a little too oily. There are some Brazilian drinks for after your meal, like pingados or mattes, which go well with the massive chocolate cakes and lemon meringue pies lined up by the till.
