Time Out Says

From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2011
One of the few Pinoy options in the area surrounding the Karama souk, stalked by the notoriously full-on peddlers of handbags and watches, Tagpuan provides a friendly refuge from the nearby bartering ground. While the cuisine won’t win any awards, it’s decent enough comfort food, and does manage to draw a regular crowd of Filipino punters. The beef sizzler which arrived with steamed vegetables is surprisingly tasty, and could almost pass as a reasonably healthy option on the menu if it weren’t for the lashings of pepper sauce. The vegetable fried rice is most certainly not an option for anyone watching their waistline or trying to go easy on the carbs, but for the rest of us, it’s a good, cheap way to fuel up before hitting the shops again.
